Whose website this is

This website is operated by Power Meter Technics (Pty) Ltd, registration 1997/012164/07, a company incorporated in the Republic of South Africa, with its registered office at 23 Silverstone Crescent, Kyalami Business Park, Midrand 1685. In these terms, "PMT", "we" and "us" mean that company.

What this website is for

It describes what PMT does. The descriptions of our products, services, accreditations and past work are given in good faith and we take care to keep them accurate, but they are general information — not a quotation, a specification, a warranty, or professional advice for your situation.

Nothing on this website forms part of any agreement between us. If PMT supplies you with meters, calibration work, Meteringonline or any other service, the terms that apply are the ones in the signed contract, quotation or purchase order for that work. Where this website and a signed contract differ, the contract governs.

Accreditation and technical claims

Our calibration laboratory's accreditation is held with SANAS and has a defined scope and expiry. Statements on this website about accreditation, measurement uncertainty or traceability describe that scope in summary form. The accreditation schedule itself is the authoritative document, and we will provide the current one on request.

What you may do with the content

The text, images, diagrams, drawings and layout of this website belong to PMT or are used by us with permission, and are protected by copyright. The names Power Meter Technics, PMT, Meteringonline, MOL, Prepaymentonline and Power-Link, and our logos, are our marks.

You may read this website, print it, and quote reasonable extracts for non-commercial purposes provided you say where they came from. You may link to it. You may not republish it commercially, present it as your own, or use our name or marks in a way that suggests we endorse you, without our written permission.

Other companies' names

Where we name customers, manufacturers or standards bodies, we do so to describe our own work and to identify equipment we work with. Those names remain the property of their owners, and their appearance here does not imply that they endorse PMT.

Links to other sites

This website links to a small number of external pages, such as our accreditation body and the Information Regulator. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content.

Availability

We try to keep this website available and correct, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or withdraw any part of it at any time. Customer access to Meteringonline is a separate service governed by your contract, not by this page.

To the extent the law allows, PMT is not liable for loss arising from your reliance on general information published here. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, or affects your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 where it applies to you.

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction.
